2024 Budget

Arnprior Town Council approved its 2024 Budget at the February 12, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council following public consultations on December 6, 2023, tabling of the budget on January 8, 2024 and budget deliberations on February 5, 2024.

The 2024 Budget is to be adopted with a 2.5% municipal tax rate increase, supported by the Town’s strong commitment to our “pay-as-you-go” financial model. This increase not only generates additional contributions to reserves to help support the Town’s strategic goals for asset management but supports community grants including the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation’s CT Scanner fundraising campaign and additional staffing supports at the Arnprior Public Library.

Budget Process Process

The 2024 Budget process took place over late 2023 and early 2024 on the below noted dates:

• December 6th, 2023 at 6:00 PM - Budget Consultations and Delegations
• January 8^th, 2024 at 6:30 PM – Tabling of the Draft 2024 Operating and Capital Budgets
• February 5^th, 2024 at 5:00 PM – Budget Deliberations
• February 6^th, 2024 at 5:00 PM – Budget Deliberations (Cancelled)
• February 12^th, 2024 at 6:30 PM – Adoption of the Final 2024 Operating and Capital Budgets

2023 Budget 

On February 13th, 2023, Town Council adopted the final 2023 Operating and Capital Budgets which included additional new funding for the Town’s Rolling Road Rehabilitation program ($100,000), donations to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation's CT Scanner capital campaign ($50,000), additional contributions to reserves ($602,644), and over $7.0M in capital investment.
