Age Friendly Community Plan |
The Town of Arnprior has developed an Age-Friendly Community Plan with assistance from a grant received from the Ontario Government. An Age-Friendly community is one where policies, services and facilities support older people to live in a secure environment, enjoy good health and continue to participate fully in their communities. |
Asset Management Plan |

Business Retention and Expansion Plan |

Community Improvement Plan |
The purpose of the Town of Arnprior Community Improvement Plan (“CIP”) is to establish a framework for the revitalization of the areas of the Town in need of improvement or revitalization. The Town offers Five Financial Incentives programs through the Town's Community Improvement Plan. Grants are available for building and property improvements under 6 grant categories. Community Safety and Well Being Plan |
The Town’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is our roadmap to work collaboratively to remove barriers and improve access to the social determinants of health and well-being so that every community member can realize their unique talents and potential in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. This plan will serve as a guide for the municipality and our partners as we work towards Council’s vision “to become a sustainable and welcoming community that respects its rich history while actively building a brighter future together”. |
Emergency Response Plan |
The Emergency Response Plan has been prepared as part of a comprehensive Emergency Management Program to provide a prompt and coordinated response to all types of emergencies affecting the residents, businesses and visitors in the community. |

The Economic development plans and reports analyze a variety of key economic sectors in the Town of Arnprior and promote ways to develop and grow that business sector. |
Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan |
The Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan outlines targets of reducing energy consumption, GHG emissions and overall energy related costs from the 2017 baseline. The plan discusses various goals and objectives that should be considered throughout the next five years in order to meet these targets |
Growth Management Study |
The results of this analysis are intended to guide policy development specifically related to planning and growth management, urban land needs, affordable housing, municipal finance and infrastructure planning. The findings of this study are found here. |
Housing Needs Assessment |
The housing needs assessment involved a detailed analysis of housing needs, housing supply and housing affordability in order to determine local issues and gaps in the housing market along with providing providing priorities and ideas for addressing these needs in the community. Transit Feasibility Study |
Arnprior does not currently have local transit services for use by the general public. The Town of Arnprior’s 2020-2023 Strategic Plan identified transportation options and transit planning as a “Key Priority”. |
Water and Wastewater Financial Plan |
The Province of Ontario requires that all municipalities develop a Water Financial Plan in part to ensure that drinking water is delivered safely to its users and also to ensure that adequate funds are available to replace aging water infrastructure. |
Water and Wastewater Master Plan |
The Town of Arnprior (Town) is seeking to better understand its existing water and wastewater systems' conditions and assess these systems abilities to service future growth area. In 2024, the Town updated their Water and Wastewater Master Plan (WWMP). This involved a comprehensive review and assessment of the Town’s sanitary sewer collection and potable water distribution systems. The MP reviews opportunities to optimize the performance of existing infrastructure, while identifying the most sustainable approach to serve the Town’s existing communities as well as new development. |
Waterfront Master Plan |
The Town of Arnprior Waterfront Master Plan serves as a blueprint for waterfront planning across Arnprior’s central waterfront area. It identifies specific waterfront improvement projects, sets priorities, and identifies budgets for the next 10 years. On September 26th, 2022, Council adopted the Waterfront Master Plan prepared by Thinc Design, excluding the implementation plan, for use as a long-range planning tool to guide and inform future decisions with respect to the Town’s waterfront, and directed staff to complete a revised Waterfront implementation plan that considers a two-phase approach, a condensed 10-year implementation timeline and separate feasibility project for the marina, to be proposed for the 2023 budget deliberations. |
