Who may use the landfill? |
The Arnprior Waste Disposal Site is only able to accept waste from residents and businesses of Arnprior and McNab/Braeside. Please note that all loads must be properly secured while waste is being transported to the Arnprior landfill. The landfill attendant will refuse any unsecured or improperly secured loads. The Town of Arnprior's landfill is located in the neighboring municipality of McNab/Braeside. Please be a respectful neighbor and do your part to keep our roadways free of litter. |
Purchase a Landfill Vouchers |
You must purchase a landfill voucher from Town Hall or the Nick Smith Centre prior to attending the landfill Site. Acceptable payment methods include cash, cheque, debit or credit card (Nick Smith Centre only). Voucher costs (tipping fees) can be viewed on the Tipping Fees page and vary based on the amount and type of waste that you are bringing down. Please note: Payment for waste disposal is not accepted at the landfill site. |
Free Landfill Vouchers |
Town of Arnprior residential property owners are provided with one (1) free landfill voucher per year. Only the owner of the residential property can claim this voucher. The free vouchers are delivered by mail with interim tax notices at the end of January. Owners of multi-unit residential properties will receive a single free voucher with their tax notices and then will need to book an appointment to pick up their remaining vouchers. Free Voucher Conditions:1. Proper identification matching the name and address on free vouchers must be provided at the time of redemption. 2. Free vouchers cannot be credited towards payment for a paid voucher of greater value. 3. Lost vouchers will not be replaced. 4. Only residential waste generated at residential properties for which the voucher was assigned will be accepted. Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Waste, Construction and Demolition waste, or waste generated outside of Arnprior cannot be deposited using a free voucher. 5. Waste must be separated properly for acceptance. Loads for landfilling that are mixed with recyclables, e-waste, leaf and yard waste and other waste that must be diverted will be refused. 6. Waste may be refused at the discretion of the Site attendant or Waste Management Coordinator. |

Third parties hauling waste from a property in the Town of Arnprior to the landfill must complete a Declaration of Haulage Form before purchasing a landfill voucher. The form must be signed by the property owner and the third party waste hauler.
Each year, the Town of Arnprior contracts with independent third-party consultants to conduct the Annual Site Development, Operations and Environmental Monitoring Report to fulfill the Town's site monitoring and reporting obligations.
