World Juniors in Arnprior

The World Juniors are coming to Arnprior! Ottawa is hosting the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championships with various host communities welcoming competing nations. Arnprior has been selected to host Team Latvia with their training camp taking place at the Nick Smith Centre. Latvia will play Team Switzerland on December 23rd at 7:00pm at the Nick Smith Centre as part of their camp.

The Nick Smith Centre will also see an exhibition game between Team Kazakhstan and Team Germany on December 19 at 7:00pm.

New Adult Programming

At the youth craft nights, we serve juice boxes. At Crafts & Craft, we serve cold beer. This new program is sponsored by Cold Bear Brewing Co. and runs monthly on Friday nights at the Nick Smith Centre. Build a seasonal craft with friends in this adult only program.

Looking for a throwback dance party? Look no further than Night of Nostalgia on November 8 at the Nick Smith Centre hosted by DJ Wes. This 80s, 90s, Early 00’s event features a glow bar, décor, great tunes with the bar open. Please enjoy responsibly. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Nick Smith Centre or purchase online.

Seniors Fair

The Seniors Active Living Fair returns to the Nick Smith Centre on Thursday November 14 from 10am-2pm.

See the many exhibitors and take part in the presentations, demonstrations, and clinics available for free.

Aquatics Updates and Reminders

Remembrance Day Pool Schedule - Monday, November 11, the pool is closed until 2:30pm. We will be offering a swim at 2:30 PM, featuring half public swim and half lane swim, followed by our regular Monday programming for the rest of the evening. Check our website for the updated holiday pool schedule. Times will vary.

PA Day Pool and Skate Schedule - Friday, November 15, is a PA Day. Check our website for the updated PA Day pool and skate schedules. Times will vary and more public swims and skates will be offered.

Parking at the Nick Smith Centre

The Nick Smith Centre is our community hub for sports, recreation and community events. On evenings and weekends the parking lot can be especially busy. Give yourself ample time to find parking when arriving for programs or events. The Nick Smith Centre parking lot is monitored by by-law services; signage posted through the parking lot must be followed.
