Walk the Halls Program Returns

The popular Walk the Halls Program is set to return next week thanks to the generosity of the Arnprior Rotary Club. Beginning December 5, 2023 the public will be able to Walk the Halls of Arnprior and District High School (ADHS) on Tuesday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and starting December 7, 2023 the Community Hall at the Nick Smith Centre will be open for walking from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

“We are grateful to the Arnprior Rotary Club for stepping forward to support the return of the Walk the Halls Program,” said Graeme Ivory, Director of Recreation. “The Rotary Club’s support ensures that this program remains free to the public and helps keep our residents healthy and active throughout the winter months.”

The Town of Arnprior will oversee the operation of the Walk the Halls Program and are asking participants to register online for this free program or complete the sign-in form when they arrive.

“We would also like to recognize the volunteers who delivered this important program for so many years in our community,” Ivory added. “We’ve heard from so many people the value of this program and the importance of its return.”

Participants are asked to bring clean indoor shoes and a refillable water bottle. Parents are also welcome to bring strollers, but wheels must be cleaned of any sand, salt or dirt.
