On Friday July 1st Mayor Stack presented the 2022 Town of Arnprior Senior of the Year Award to Josie Scott and the 2022 Town Award to Lynn Grinstead.
Josie Scott:
Josie is as an active member of the Arnprior community and has volunteered for several years. She has worked to support the health and wellness of local residents, using her mental health professional background. Josie is an active member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Poverty and Homelessness since 2018 and has been Chair of this Committee since 2020. Josie oversaw and led the Committee’s work and has worked closely to put together the multi-stakeholder Greater Arnprior Community Council on Poverty and Homelessness. Also, Josie has served on the Arnprior Library Board (currently Chair), as a volunteer with Arnprior Regional Health Auxiliary (Opportunity Shop), and with the Saint John Chrysostom Parish with their reading program.
Lynn Grinstead:
Councillor Grinstead has been a Member of Town of Arnprior Council for the past 11 years and has lived in Arnprior her entire life. Councillor Grinstead has served on numerous committees, both as a Council Member and of her own accord, including but not limited to:
Councillor Grinstead also initiated the start of Priorpalooza and is a great supporter of resolving homelessness in our community.
