Town of Arnprior Transitions Swimming Lessons to Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Program

The Canadian Red Cross is winding down swimming lessons and lifeguard programs to focus on surging humanitarian demands in other areas.

What does this mean for you? As a result, the Town of Arnprior is transitioning from the Canadian Red Cross Swim program to the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program in January 2023.

Swim for Life is a complete learn-to-swim program from Parent & Tot through to Leadership. The program is endorsed by the International Life Saving Federation and the Commonwealth Royal Life Saving Society.

This will impact the way residents register for swimming lessons in January as names and qualifications have changed through this transition. Residents are strongly encouraged to become familiar with the new terms and levels before registering for swimming lessons.

The swimming lessons schedule will be viewable on December 5 and registration for swimming lessons opens January 4 at 9:00am on the Town's online booking system.
