Arnprior, ON – In partnership with Hands Fireworks, the Town of Arnprior will host a fireworks display this Sunday, May 8 at 8:30pm as part of the #Fireworks4Peace movement. On May 8, fireworks artists around the world will light up the night sky to express solidarity with Ukraine and all people in conflict-affected areas sending a collective symbol for the desire for peace. With artists from over 15 countries #fireworks4peace is the largest global fireworks art project in history. The fireworks display will be launched from Bell Park (opposite Robert Simpson Park on the East side of the Madawaska River at the mouth of the Ottawa River) which will be closed to public access for public safety. The fireworks can best be viewed from Robert Simpson Park, Arnprior Municipal Marina or along the waterfront trail.
The fireworks display will last approximately 5 minutes.
