Town of Arnprior Launches Christmas Lights Contest

The Town of Arnprior is launching its annual Christmas Lights Contest. Help us light up the Town and bring the joy of the season to all our residents.

The Christmas Lights Contest aims to celebrate the Christmas season, recognizing residents for the hard work and holiday spirit put into their displays at their home, business or organization.

“This is the third year of the Christmas Lights Contest and we look forward to seeing the creative and festive displays from our residents,” said Graeme Ivory, Director of Recreation. “Over the past two years of this contest, we’ve heard some great stories of families, friends and even residents at retirement homes going out for drives to enjoy the light displays.”

Registration opens on November 24th and closes at 4:00 p.m. on December 14. A registration form is available online or can be delivered to the Nick Smith Centre at 77 James Street.

The judges panel will make their rounds between December 15-17. The top three locations will be awarded a Live Love Local gift card on or before December 20. The judge’s criteria include: first impression, originality and design.

1. Entries must be located in Town of Arnprior
2. Use of LEDs light are encouraged
3. Applications accepted starting November 24, 2021
4. Entry Deadline: Wednesday, December 14, 2021 @ 4:00pm
5. Top three locations are selected by a judge’s panel between December 15-17, 2021
6. Winners will be notified on or before December 20, 2021
7. Judging Criteria: First Impression, Originality and Design
