Arnprior, ON: Arnprior Town Council approved its 2025 Budget at the February 10th, 2025 Regular Meeting of Council. The process to adoption included public consultations on December 4, 2024, tabling of the budget on January 13, 2025 and budget deliberations on February 3, 2025.
The 2025 Budget is designed to balance service delivery, community support, infrastructure renewal and saving for the future, in alignment with the Town’s Strategic Plan. The 2025 Budget was adopted with a 3.25% municipal tax rate increase, supported by the Town’s strong commitment to our “pay-as-you-go” financial model. This increase not only generates additional contributions to reserves to help support the Town’s strategic goals for asset management but supports community grants for important organizations such as the Senior Active Living Centre, Physician Recruitment Committee and Arnprior’s library and archives.
Mayor Lisa McGee stated “Our consistent financial strategy has allowed the Town to invest in significant infrastructure renewal projects in 2025. Supporting the needs of the community today and planning for the future is a balancing act that this budget achieves.”
A robust capital budget of over $16.4 million for projects to be undertaken in 2025, includes:
