Play a key role in the Town of Arnprior’s future by sitting on an Advisory Committee!  The Town is now seeking applications for appointments to our new Advisory Committees for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council.

If you wish to play a key role in future of our community and would like to have your name considered for appointment to any of the advisory committees, please complete an online application. 

Public applications are open from Monday, January 15th, 2024 at 8:30 AM to Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 4:30 PM.

In Fall 2023, Town Council adopted the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan which identifies key priorities for the municipality and includes the mission, vision and values that will guide our actions for the coming years. To implement the Strategic Plan, Council has created three (3) Advisory Committees to provide advice and recommendations within specific areas of expertise. 

1. Accessibility and Age Friendly Advisory Committee: This Advisory Committee provides sound advice and recommendations to Council related to the accessibility of Town programs, services and facilities for all users. They will also serve to promote and facilitate a barrier-free and age friendly community by assisting in the removal and prevention of barriers faced by persons with disabilities and the creation of programs and services that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages.
2. Culture and Diversity Advisory Committee: This Advisory Committee provides sound advice and recommendations to Council related to cultural programs and activities and diversity, equity and inclusion across the Town of Arnprior and in the community. They will also advise the Town on actions that can be taken to build a more inclusive, respectful and safe community where everyone has equitable opportunities to thrive in our community.
3. Environmental Advisory Committee: This Advisory Committee provides sound advice and recommendations to Council related to environmental issues including sustainable practices, conservation, alternative energy solutions and environmental regulations.
