Summer Camps

There are many great camps available in August including Camp Wanna-Go and their Olympic Themed Week or the Next Gen Hockey and Ringette Camps. Learn more about both at www.arnprior.ca/camps

Fall Programming

All recreation programs (excluding aquatics) are now viewable online at www.arnprior.ca/programs with registration opening August 6. Check out the various youth programs, fitness classes, and sport leagues and programs available to you starting in September.

Youth Club

A whole new season of Youth Club starts in September and you can join now with program registration next week. Visit www.arnprior.ca/youthclub to view the many amazing programs and events set to take place this fall.

Aquatics Updates

The pool will be closed for only one week this fall (August 31 to September 8) for annual maintenance.

Nick Smith Centre Rink Revitalization

The Town of Arnprior is implementing an arena revitalization project to complete required replacement of the aging infrastructure, improve accessibility and create new meeting and storage spaces.

The current projected construction windows where ice time will be unavailable are:

• Arena B: February 17, 2025-September 8, 2025

• Arena A: March 17, 2025 – October 14, 2025

Shinny Memberships

Effective June 1, shinny participants are required to complete an annual waiver which is part of Shinny Membership. This includes all youth shinny (hockey and ringette), as well as adult and seniors shinny participants. Two waivers have been established: one designated for individuals under the age of 16, which a legal guardian must complete, titled "Waiver and Release Form - Shinny for Under 16," and another tailored for adults aged 16 and above, termed "Waiver and Release Form - Shinny for 16 and Over."

By having the Shinny Membership, this ensures that:

• Completion of the necessary waivers by all participants.
• Streamlined online registration process facilitating the collection of corresponding fees tailored to age and residency.
• Regular updates to the database regarding shinny session times, schedule modifications, and related information provided by staff.
• Expedited entry into shinny sessions, with all requisite waivers and accounts established in advance, ensuring efficiency and convenience for all involved parties.

This new requirement requires approximately five minutes, and we strongly advise completing the waiver beforehand ensuring prompt access to your ice time. Note that Nick Smith Centre employees are unable to complete waivers on behalf of participants due to the legal nature of the waiver.

Upon successful completion of the waiver, participants regain access to the online registration system for Shinny sessions, our quickest sign-up option. Alternatively, those opting for in-person registration at the front desk should anticipate a slight extension in processing time.

There is no cost to the shinny membership.

This process helps support the paperless operation of this program and supports the Town of Arnprior’s commitment to responsible environmental stewardship and resource management.

Summer Equipment Rentals

Kayak Rental Package: Includes a Pelican Kayak, Paddle, Safety Kit, and Personal Flotation Device.

S.U.P Rental Package: Includes a Pelican Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP), Paddle, Safety Kit, and Personal Flotation Device.

Rental Rates:

Daily Rental Fee: $25.00 (24-hour period)
Weekend Rental Fee: $50.00 (pick-up available Friday by 3:00 PM, return by Monday noon)

Fall/Winter Ice Rentals
