Park Operations

- The Splash Pad operates Daily from 8:00am-8:00pm
- The Public Washrooms are open Daily from 8:00am-8:00pm

Water Safety |
- Dune fencing is installed along the waters edge along the Madawaska River to the confluence of the Madawaska and Ottawa rivers.
- No Swimming signage is posted along the waterfront.
- Lifeguards will be on duty at the Robert Simpson Park Beach daily from 11am-6pm June 27 through September 5. The lifeguards are the authority of public safety at the beach and waterfront.
- Please only swim inside the designated swim area (marked off by a buoy line).

Park Rules |
- No alcohol, smoking or vaping
- No camping
- Pets must be kept on their leash
- No open air burning or charcoal BBQs. Where BBQs are permitted, only CSA approve propane BBQs are allowed
- No littering or dumping
- No motor vehicle access inside park space (other than parking lots)

Parking
|
- Parking at the beach level will be restricted on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays June 4 through September 5. Accessible parking remains available on the main level (5 parking stalls) as well as at the Municipal Marina which is connected to Robert Simpson Park through the waterfront trail.
- Overflow parking will be available in the rear parking lot of the Arnprior Hospital, at no cost, on weekends and holidays June 4 through September 5. Please note that parking capacity at Robert Simpson Park is 65 (including 5 accessible parking stalls).
- Parking at the beach level will be available during the week but is limited to the identified parking locations along the north side that includes two accessible stalls. Please note that there is no parking permitted along the south side (base of the hill) – this is a tow away zone.
- Overnight parking is not permitted, at any time, in Robert Simpson Park

Parks Attendant
|
A Parks Attendant will be on-site at Robert Simpson Park on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:30am – 6:30pm to support parking and by-law infractions (i.e. charcoal BBQs, parking violations, smoking/vaping). |
