Take Notice that pursuant to the Town’s Public Notice Policy and Sale and Disposition of Land Policy, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior intends to stop up and permanently close an unused portion of municipal road allowance along Edey Street and to dispose of these non-viable lands through a land exchange with a neighbouring property owner. The subject lands are an irregular rectangle with approximately 11m (38 feet) in depth, 14m (46 feet) in frontage along Edey Street and 20m (66 feet) in width along the rear.
Staff Report No. 23-05-08-04 (listed as Item No. 12(d) on the May 8th, 2023 Council Meeting Agenda Package) provides a detailed review of the property to be disposed of and a key map of the property.
Council is considering to declare the subject lands as surplus to the needs of the Town and Council has authorized Town staff to negotiate a land exchange with the neighbouring property owner in order to efficiently complete required works as part of the Daniel-Edey-Galvin Street Intersection Realignment and Culvert Replacement project.
Town Council will formally consider this matter at its May 23rd, 2023 Regular Meeting of Council starting at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers. Anyone wishing to provide comments shall provide comments in writing to the Clerk’s Office before May 23rd, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
