Town Staff and members of the Arnprior Fire Department were able to begin rink flooding at the Sullivan Rink of Dreams and at Sergeant Howard Slater Park in Village Creek. Snow has not been removed from these surfaces as ice conditions are still not yet favourable and safe for skating. Both rinks remain closed at this time.
Please continue to monitor the outdoor rinks webpage and the Arnprior Life social media channels for updates on their status. Please also adhere to any signage on-site at these rinks.
Work will continue on both rinks into next week but in the interim, town staff request that the public remain off these surfaces.
For those wanting to skate, schedule info on Public Skating and Shinny ice times is available on our website or by signing into your online account.
With the recent snowfall, access to snowshoes and cross-country skis are available through the Lending Hub. These items can be request in person at the Nick Smith Centre or by emailing recreation@arnprior.ca.
