Opportunity Notice - Custodian

Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the primary responsibilities for the Custodian position include (but not limited to) the following:

• Assist keeping Municipal buildings clean, secure, ready and respectable for public such as cleaning washrooms, cleaning windows, dusting furniture, collection and disposal of trash and recycling, vacuuming/mopping and snow removal;
• Conduct regular public washroom and dressing room checks as directed;
• Assist with the set up and tear down of events and activities and/or general cleanliness and general maintenance of the pool facilities and arenas; and
• Report any unsafe conditions, damage and/or vandalism to the Operations Supervisor;

The successful candidate will have as a minimum:

• Some completion of high school and/or equivalent;
• One to three months of similar working experience;
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices;
• Physically capable to perform general cleaning and maintenance duties; and
• Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
