Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior passed By-Law No. 7538-24 to amend the Town’s Development Charges By-law No. 7369-23 on the 25th day of November, 2024 under section 2(1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended.
The Development Charges imposed under By-law 7369-23, as amended, and shown in Schedule B below, are levied against all new development in the Town of Arnprior and are required to pay for the increased capital costs related to the provision of municipal services resulting from growth. The scope of the amendment was limited to the addition of costs related to growth-related studies into the Development Charges framework, the amendment of the capital cost definition, and removal of the five-year phase-in of approved rates, as permitted by Bill 185, Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024.
An electronic copy of the amending by-law is available on the Town’s website at www.arnprior.ca/developmentcharges or in-person at Town Hall (105 Elgin Street West, Arnprior, Ontario, Canada K7S 0A8) during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM excluding statutory holidays).
The current schedule of development charges resulting from the amending by-law, which came into full force and effect on November 25th, 2024, is as outlined under Schedule B below.
