At this time, the Nick Smith Centre remains open and Town of Arnprior programs continue under the new restrictions that came into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday. As Town Programs have been operating with smaller capacities, no further reductions are currently required.
While programs will continue and facilities remain available to rent, the safety of our users, our staff and the community at large are of paramount importance so we ask for everyone’s cooperation in adhering to all facility protocol and signage during their time at the Nick Smith Centre.
Proper screening, physical distancing, masking and hand washing are the key pillars in supporting the safest environment possible at our facility.
If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay at home.
All users entering the Nick Smith Centre must complete and pass the COVID-19 customer screening, contact tracing and provide proof of full vaccination (two doses, plus 14-days) for those 12 years of age and older in order to enter the facility. You are required to wear a mask at all times, except when engaged in activity and maintain physical distance of 2-meters (6 feet) while in the building.
The canteen will not be operating under these current restrictions and, effective immediately, food and beverage is not permitted in the facility with the exception of water for those participating in activity. Spectators cannot eat or drink while inside this facility.
Capacity of all the facility has been reduced to 50% which includes the dressing rooms and washrooms. Dressing Room capacities are as follows:
Masking is required in all dressing rooms and should only be removed prior to going on the ice. For Pool users, masks are to be worn onto the deck and only removed prior to entry in the pool.
REMINDERS
Regrettably, we are back in the turmoil of yet another iteration of COVID-19 and one that catches us at a time when we were beginning to feel hopeful that the end of this period in our lives was soon behind us. Unfortunately, we are looking at a period of uncertainty as we enter this holiday season.
On behalf of the staff at the Nick Smith Centre, we would like to thank you for your continued efforts and understanding during these challenging times and wish you and yours a safe and happy holiday season.
