With the recent accumulation of snow and more likely on the way the Arnprior Fire Department would like to remind everyone to ensure to check your furnace, hot water, and gas dryer vents to ensure they are not covered by fallen or drifting snow.

Not only for the safety of eliminating the risk of carbon monoxide in your home but from an efficiency aspect as well.

If you have elderly neighbors assist them by checking their systems for them to help keep them safe as well.

And remember to have a working smoke and carbon monoxide alarm in your home.
