Joint Use Recreation Agreement Update

As per the notice of termination provided by the Township of McNab/Braeside, the current Joint Use Recreation Agreement will come to an end June 30, 2023. As of July 1, 2023, non-resident user fees will apply for all programs and registrations. A separate user fee structure will be developed and implemented for user groups where a large component of their participant base are non-residents.

At the March 27^th Council meeting, Council received an information report from staff outlining the current agreement and options for consideration. Council of the Town of Arnprior has decided not to move forward with negotiations for a new joint use recreation agreement, at this time.

“This decision was made carefully, with all the facts before us and in the best interest of our residents,” said Mayor Lisa McGee. “We thank our neighbours in McNab/Braeside for their contributions to recreation offerings over these past years and we wish them success in the continued growth of their recreation programs and services.”

Registration for most summer programs will begin on Monday, May 1, 2023 for residents with registration coming available for non-residents on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
