Mayor Walter Stack was pleased to join the MPP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, John Yakabuski, in congratulating the Conseil Des Écoles Catholiques Du Centre-Est on the occasion of the ground breaking ceremony for the new French Catholic Elementary School being built on Baskin Drive in the Town of Arnprior.
“The Town of Arnprior is pleased to be able to offer a home for francophone students who currently do not have access to French language education in the Town of Arnprior, neighbouring municipalities in the County of Renfrew, the City of Ottawa, and the County of Lanark. The addition of a daycare centre will also fill a need in our growing community. The Town is growing at an unprecedented rate and we recognize that having this offering in our community makes us a location of choice for many young and growing families who want to be close to the Capital region” said Mr. Stack.
The elementary school will be able to accommodate 248 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, and will include a daycare center with a capacity of 49 children. Construction is expected to conclude for opening in September of 2023.
