FoodCycler Pre-orders Now Open

To encourage at-home composting and reduce the amount of organic material going to the landfill, the Town of Arnprior is partnering again with FoodCycle Science to host a second phase to the pilot program for Arnprior residents with the FoodCycler^TM countertop composter system. We are looking for an additional 200 households to participate in a 12-week monitoring program in exchange for a subsidized cost to purchase a unit. 

FoodCycler^TM is a countertop unit that converts food waste through a drying and grinding process, into a dry, odorless, nutrient-rich soil amendment.

The basics of the pilot program is:

• Purchase a FoodCycler^TM at a subsidized cost
• Track the number of cycles over a 12-week period
• Complete a survey at the end of the 12-week period

How To Purchase

The Town of Arnprior has procured two hundred (200) FoodCyclers^TM  which can be purchased on a first-come-first-served basis at www.arnprior.ca/foodcycler . Purchasers will be informed when they are ready for pick-up in early August 2024.
