Flood Preparation

The Town of Arnprior has taken measures to prepare for potential flooding as per the Flood Warning issued by the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry. This warning is in effect until Friday, April 21, 2023 unless further information is provided by the Ministry. 

A sandbagging station has been set up at the McLean Ball Diamonds for residents who may require sandbags. There is information on flood preparation and sandbagging methods on the Town's Emergency Management page. 

Danger Overland Flooding signs have been placed along the waterfront trail including the beach at Robert Simpson Park, Hydro Park East and McLean beach. Residents are asked to keep their distance from the water's edge as spring flooding can cause fast moving water and current along with more frequent operation of the dam.
