Employee Excellence Awarded to Lucas Power

Arnprior, ON.  At their meeting of January 8, 2024 Council awarded the prestigious ‘Employee Excellence Award’ to Lucas Power, the Town’s Recreation Program and Events Coordinator. The Employee Excellence Award is granted to celebrate employees who demonstrate high degrees of service or employee excellence, and who go above and beyond with their contributions, achievements, or attributes in one or more award category. From driving the growth of recreation programming and events for youth, to sourcing grants to build and grow the Town's program offerings, to supporting other departments with event delivery, Lucas’s support of his colleagues, commitment to his community and passion for the success of Town programs and events is immeasurable.

Mayor McGee provided the Award to Lucas stating that “in 2023, Lucas was an all-star in his role as the Recreation Program and Events Coordinator and a super star in his many support roles where he touched almost every other department. The success of events, growth of programs and overall community well-being is a testament to the attitude and pride that Lucas brings to his job daily, helping show why Arnprior is an amazing play to Live, Work and Play.”
