Dr. Robert Cushman, recognized as a Community Builder of the Year

On behalf of Council, staff, and the residents of Arnprior, I would like to extend warmest congratulations to Dr. Robert Cushman on being recognized as a Community Builder of the Year by United Way of Eastern Ontario.

The Town has benefited from the leadership shown by Dr. Cushman throughout the pandemic.  As indicated by the recognition bestowed, Dr. Cushman “has focused on ensuring services are readily accessible to the most vulnerable. Equally he has called attention to the pandemic’s enormous collateral damage to schooling and community mental health, and the need to rebuild services with this top of mind. By building networks of community service providers, Dr. Cushman has fostered a collaborative cross sectoral partnership in Renfrew County and District to fight the pandemic.”

Working with Dr. Cushman to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors during this ever-changing time, has been a privilege. Congratulations, Dr. Cushman.
