Awarding of McNab Street Sidewalk Construction Tender – Bonnechere Excavating Inc and Jp2g Consulting

Council awarded the tender for the construction of a sidewalk on McNab Street to Bonnechere Excavating Inc. for $1,220,270.39 (including HST).  The award for contract administration and inspection services was given to Jp2g Consultants in the amount of $62,686.75 (including HST). The scope of work includes installation of sidewalk on McNab Street from Madawaska Boulevard to McLean Avenue. The construction project is expected to commence in 2026. The project is overbudget by $205,342,64. The overage is to be funded 10% from the Capital Expenditure Reserve Fund and 90% from the Development Charges Reserve Fund.

Annual Statement of Development Charges - 2023

Council received a report of the Annual Statement of Development Charges for 2023 and authorized the transfer of development charge funds of $270,000 for the Library Expansion Project to the Capital Expenditure Reserve Fund to cover the allocated growth portion of the capital project.
