Arnprior Fire Department Live Fire Training Exercises

The Arnprior Fire Department will be conducting Live Fire Training exercises on the property adjacent to the Stanley Tourangeau Fire/Police Center on Meehan Street in Arnprior on Wednesday October 12 through until Sunday October 17, 2022.

A Mobile Live Fire Training Unit provided by the Province of Ontario and the Ontario Fire College will be on location as a training aid for the members of the local fire department. During its operation training smoke and flames from the propane fueled fire props may be visible from the training unit and fire department personnel and operations will be seen.

The training of our fire fighters is imperative to their safety as first responders to fire emergencies within the communities they serve, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have the MLFTU in Arnprior for this short period of time to aid our firefighters in expanding their skill sets.

The MLFTU is one of 2 units operated by the Ontario Fire College that travel across the province providing Ontario firefighters an opportunity to train in a safe, controlled live fire conditions environment.
