Holiday Camp

Need daily care for your little ones? The Nick Smith Centre is hosting a Holiday Camp from 8:30am-4:00pm on December 30, 31, January 2, 3. This camp includes swimming, skating, outdoor play, arts & crafts, and much more.

Ages: 4-10

Fee: $160 (residents), $240 (non-residents) for the 4 days.

Swimming Schedule

Swim Descriptions

Lane Swim: For individuals aged 14 plus who understand lane etiquette and can complete continuous laps.

Public Swim: Unstructured swim times open to all ages. Aquatic Admission Standards apply.

Drop-In Toonie Swim – Sponsored by Tim Hortons: Unstructured swim times open to all ages for $2.00. Aquatic Admission Standards apply.

Senior Swim: An unstructured swim time open to individuals aged 60 plus.

All drop-in swims are scheduled for a duration of 50 minutes, with the exception of the Toonie Swim, which is 1 hour long.

Aquatic Admission Standards

Non-swimmers aged 10 and under and all children aged 5 and under must be accompanied by a participating guardian at least 16 years of age who is responsible for the direct supervision of the child and always swimming within arm’s reach.  Children aged 6 to 10 must be tested to demonstrate their ability to swim 2 pool widths uninterrupted to be permitted to swim unaccompanied

For increased safety in our aquatic facility, all children who participate in the following sanctioned programs who wish to swim in the deep end, must complete a brief swim test prior to entering the deep end of our pool. Children that successfully complete the test will be given a wristband to wear. Only those children with a wristband are allowed to swim in the deep end.

Free Skating

We have many free skates thanks to our generous sponsors.

All skates are 50 minutes long and do not require registration.

Limited skates and helmets are available to borrow.

Lending Hub

Enjoy the winters outside with free winter equipment.

Rentals are free for daily use and must be returned by 8:30pm on Monday-Friday and 7:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

• Cross country ski sets (skis, boots and poles)
• Hockey skates and helmets (various sizes)
