September 26, 2022 - The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior does hereby commit to recognizing September 30th, 2022, as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day) with a flag raising and the unveiling of a commemorative bench at Town Hall on Monday, September 26th at 12:00 noon in support of and to promote education and awareness of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day).

The Operations Department will be conducting fall hydrant flushing throughout the Town between September 26th and October 7th.
During this time, it is possible that the water may appear slightly discoloured within the area being flushed. If discoloured water is detected, please open your COLD water taps and allow the water to run for at least 5 minutes, or until water is clear. The coloured water is not hazardous to health.

The Mayor and Council, on behalf of the residents and staff of the Town of Arnprior, wish to express our condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We join the country in mourning the loss of The Queen.
In reverence, our flags will fly at half-mast until the end of the mourning period.

The Mayor, Council and Staff of the Town of Arnprior send condolences to the families of those lost and support for those affected by the senseless violence in the James Smith Cree First Nation and village of Weldon in Saskatchewan. As a show of support the Town will lower its flags Tuesday and Wednesday.
