Access Mat Installed at Robert Simpson Park Beach; Beach Level Parking to Re-Open on Weekends

ARNPRIOR, ON – The beach at Robert Simpson Park received a major accessibility upgrade this week with the installation of an AccessMat and the addition of a WaterWheels chair. Robert Simpson Park becomes the second waterfront in Renfrew County to benefit from a beach access mat joining Bonnechere Provincial Park.

Fireworks in Town

While the Town’s Fireworks Bylaw permits consumer fireworks to be discharged within the Town of Arnprior, the day before Canada Day, Canada Day and the day after Canada Day, Fire Officials are discouraging residents from lighting consumer fireworks while the Town remains within the MNR Restricted Fire Zone. A fire ban has been issued by the MNR and is still in effect. A temporary suspension of all issued Burn Permits is in place for all residents and property owners of the Town of Arnprior.

Public Consultation for Recreation and Parks Master Plan

The Town of Arnprior, in partnership with Stantec Consulting Ltd, has embarked on an exciting endeavour to create a strategic Recreation and Parks Master Plan that will guide the future of recreational services and infrastructure offered by the Town. A pair of public engagement tools – surveys and an open house – will start to build the foundational blocks of this master plan over the coming weeks.
