IT Support Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer the IT Support Coordinator is responsible to administer the functions and activities of the Town’s information technology (IT) systems including servers, computers, operating systems, hardware, and software. The role will require travel within Arnprior to oversee IT systems at all Town facilities. In addition, the position will provide end-user technical and help-desk support, administer preventative maintenance, support for the maintenance of the Town’s website, assist with the financial aspects of purchasing and monitoring the IT budget, develop and implement IT related policy, manage system upgrades, and provide professional advice and strategic support to the CAO and Council. The ideal candidate will have 5 years progressive work experience with IT systems, and a post-secondary level education in the field of Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related studies. Municipal experience will be considered an asset.

The Town of Arnprior is currently inviting students to apply for our 2015 Summer Student Employment Opportunities. Position start dates may differ, with positions starting as early as May or as late as July. Jobs can range between 7-18 weeks in length depending on the position. The hourly wage rate ranges from $11.00 to $17.00 subject to Council approval. To be eligible for employment students must be at least 16 years of age or older, and enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program on a full-time or part-time basis.
