![]() AboutMission StatementThe Arnprior Fire Service is dedicated to increasing community safety by being committed to protecting lives and property, as well as limiting negative effects to the environment and local economy through public education, prevention and emergency response within the scope of approved services. Through teamwork, dedication and training the members of the Arnprior Fire Service contribute professionally to the Department’s success. Members proudly serve by exhibiting respect, while remaining accountable. Department StructureThe Arnprior Fire Department is a volunteer department with one fire station that houses all equipment and apparatus. The Department provides public education services as well as fire prevention activities; including request and complaint building inspections. Other fire protection services consist of fire suppression to all occupancies, including; residential, commercial, business, institutional, and industrial. The Arnprior Fire Department is a member of Renfrew County Mutual Aid and provides heavy rescue auto extrication services in the southern portion of the county. Additionally, the department is trained to conduct specialty rescue in water and ice rescue situations. Staffing
Fire ApparatusThe Arnprior Fire Department maintains a fleet of equipment to protect the boundaries of the Town, which consists of 13.1 square kilometers in land area, and a population of over 8,000 residents. The Town draws surface water from the Madawaska River to its water filtration plant supplying domestic and fire protection water through it distribution system. A dry hydrant located along the shore of the Madawaska River provides a supplemental water source for fire protection, while providing protection to a small residential area not within the water distribution system.
