Arnprior & District Museum

Board Members – Do you have an interest in local history and love our community’s museum? Then the Town of Arnprior and the Arnprior & District Museum Board needs your assistance. We’re looking for new members for the Arnprior & District Museum Board of Directors.  If you have skills in accounting, law, marketing or other experience to contribute let us know. This position requires a commitment of approximately 3 hours a month for 10 months. Please call the Town Clerk at 613-623-4231 for information or to volunteer.

Front Desk and Docent Volunteers – Volunteers are needed to welcome museum guests. The Museum requires volunteers on any or all of the following dates and times: Tuesday – Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm or 1 pm – 4 pm.  The schedule is very flexible so you may help as little or as much as you would like. Please call the Museum Curator at 613-623-4902 for information or to volunteer.

Parkinson Canada
Parkinson Canada is looking for a volunteer(s) to facilitate the monthly Living with Parkinson’s Support Group in Arnprior, Ontario. This group meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Arnprior Public Library (21 Madawaska Boulevard, Arnprior).

Facilities Committee Member

Are you are a contractor, electrician or plumber looking for a volunteer opportunity that values your knowledge and experience?

We are looking for professionals or retired individuals with experience as contractors, electricians and plumbers to join our Facilities Committee.

As a member of this committee, your knowledge and experience will help us to identify and prioritize the work that needs to be done in our facility, help us choose the right professionals to do the job, and make sure the job is done right.

Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month, 10 months a year.

Special Events Committee Member

Do you have a passion for putting together events and activities?

Galilee Centre is looking for individuals with an interest in creating, promoting and delivering exciting and fun special events.  From working on our existing special events like the Solstice Walk and Dickens and Dinner to coming up with new events.  If this sounds like fun to you, then we welcome you to join our Special Events Committee.

Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month, 10 months a year.

High School Volunteers

This section is for all high school students who are looking to secure volunteer hours.

Arnprior Parks and Recreation Programs: We offer a wide array of programs that are offered to all ages. Work hands-on with our programs and participants! Call 613-623-7301.
