ontrac Employment Resource Services

Funded in part by the Government of Ontario and the Federal Government, ontrac Employment Resource services delivers Employment Ontario programs to local employers to assist with their hiring and training needs.  Job Matching, Placement and Incentives (JMPI) aims to help individuals obtain career-related work experience, helps employers to find employees for jobs they are trying to fill, and provides recruitment supports such as job matching, resume screening, job posting, job fairs, etc.  In some cases, wage incentives are provided to employers who hire and help individuals transition into the labour force.

The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) supports skills training for individual(s) that meets the workforce development needs of employers.  Training supported through the Grant is driven by employer demand and must be directly related to the skills that meet their workforce development needs.  Employers may be eligible to receive up to $10,000 per trainee, as reimbursement for training costs.  This program is intended to support employers in taking a greater role in workforce development.

Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation

We offer financing up to $250,000 to qualifying small and medium-sized enterprises for start-up, relocation, maintenance or expansion of businesses located in Renfrew County.

Enterprise Renfrew County

Starter Company PLUS is a program offered through Enterprise Renfrew County (ERC) and is
funded by the Province of Ontario. This program is designed to provide business training for
entrepreneurs who are launching a new business or expanding an existing business that has
been operating for five years or less. This program will have 3 intakes per year. Applicants who have completed all mandatory training and have submitted a business plan and a two year cash flow are eligible to compete for up to $4000 business funding.
