How did this come about? |
The idea of the Older Adults Club came to light with the mindset of complimenting and supporting the Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC). Focusing on programs and activities that exceed the capacity of the SALC, the Older Adults Club aims to provide seniors in our community increased access to recreation. The membership based format was duplicated from the successful Youth Club project started back in 2023 with support of grant funding. |
Where will these programs take place? |
These programs will mainly occur at the Nick Smith Centre (77 James Street). Select programs will occur in various park spaces, schools, and other recreational facilities in Arnprior. |
When will this happen? |
We are currently receiving input on the programs and timing for this project. The full schedule as well as registration information will be available in August. Programming will occur between September 2025 and March 2026. |
Who qualifies for this project? |
Anyone aged 55 and over qualify for the Older Adults Club. You do not have to be an Arnprior resident - anyone over 55 can join. |
