Product Recall Due to Fire Hazard

The Arnprior Fire Department would like to advise the public of this recall due. This refers to a product recall involving the lithium-ion battery supplied with the Sunter Rechargeable LED Vanity Mirror manufactured in March and April of 2022. No Ice is Safe

As the spring thaw continues, the ice on lakes, rivers, streams and ponds are getting thin. Please remember that no ice is safe.

The Town of Arnprior asks people to be mindful of the following:

• Ice is inherently dangerous at this time of year and is always unpredictable. Stay away from open bodies of water.
• Always supervise children playing outside who may wander or want to play near rivers, ponds, creeks or ditches etc. A child can drown in less than two inches of water.

Fourth Avenue Park Update

The play structure and features at Fourth Avenue Park were removed on April 6 as the play structure had surpassed its lifecycle. While the park has been a welcome place for outdoor recreation over the years, also featuring swings sets and some years an outdoor rink, this location is not Town of Arnprior property and therefore the amenities at this park will not be replaced. The Town intends to relocate the existing swing sets to another park.
