The Town has received some calls from concerned residents regarding the Arnprior Chronicle Guides newspaper article titled "Petition would save Arnprior from ‘Monica Moneybags’". The Town would like to clarify that this is a fictional situation made up as part of a fundraiser for the Arnprior and District Food Bank where event participants track down clues which will lead them to a petition to “save the Town”.

Due to ongoing vandalism at the public washrooms at Robert Simpson Park, these amenities will be closed for the season effective immediately. The splash pad with remain open while temperatures remain favourable.

Beginning September 22, 2021, the Provincial Government will require users of the Nick Smith Centre to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination (vaccine receipt) along with identification to access the Nick Smith Centre.
