Due to ongoing vandalism at the public washrooms at Robert Simpson Park, these amenities will be closed for the season effective immediately. The splash pad with remain open while temperatures remain favourable.

Beginning September 22, 2021, the Provincial Government will require users of the Nick Smith Centre to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination (vaccine receipt) along with identification to access the Nick Smith Centre. The Public Interaction Guidelines for the Nick Smith Centre are posted on the Town of Arnprior’s website.

The washrooms and splash pad at Robert Simpson Park will be open from 8 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. The Public is reminded that the beach is only guarded from June through August and the buoy lines are now removed from the river. Life rings are located on the lifeguard chair and affixed to the ‘No Swimming’ sign at the point where the rivers meet. Effective Friday, September 3, 2021, vehicle access to the lower beach level of Robert Simpson Park will re-open. Drivers are reminded that access includes a steep hill with a blind corner and are asked to be mindful of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
