Town Staff and members of the Arnprior Fire Department were able to begin rink flooding at the Sullivan Rink of Dreams and at Sergeant Howard Slater Park in Village Creek. Snow has not been removed from these surfaces as ice conditions are still not yet favourable and safe for skating. Both rinks remain closed at this time.

Work is underway to prepare a pair of outdoor rinks in our community. Work at the Sullivan Rink of Dreams at Legion Park and the outdoor rink at Village Creek has commenced with flooding scheduled for the evenings of January 10, 11 and 12, 2023.

The Canadian Red Cross is winding down swimming lessons and lifeguard programs to focus on surging humanitarian demands in other areas.

On September 26th, 2022, Council adopted the Waterfront Master Plan prepared by Thinc Design for use as a long-range planning tool to guide and inform future decisions with respect to the Town’s waterfront.
