Section 4 Recycling Collection Rescheduled

Town of Arnprior Declares Significant Weather Event

This declaration has now been terminated. 

In response to a winter storm warning in effect in our area, the Town of Arnprior has declared a Significant Weather Event that will impact travel and services throughout the municipality. This declaration is made pursuant to Ontario Regulation 239/02 and 366/18, Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.

Section 4 Recycling Collection Rescheduled

Due to the winter storm, the Town’s contractor has advised that they are not able to safely complete the Section 4 recycling collection. Therefore, today's Section 4 (Friday) recycling collection has been cancelled and rescheduled to Monday, December 19th, 2022. Affected residents should bring in their recycling bins today and instead place their Paper Fibres and Cardboard materials curbside by 7:30 AM on Monday. Recycling collection for all other sections next week will remain as scheduled. 

Winter Maintenance Update

In preparation for the upcoming winter event starting Thursday evening, continuing through Friday and into Saturday morning, this is just a friendly reminder to give our snowplow operators room to work which includes:

• Please do not pass a working snowplow.
• Winter parking restrictions are currently in effect. Parking on Town streets and municipal parking lots is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM until March 31st, 2023.
• Waste collection bins should be 5-6 feet back from the roadway...
