Whereas in the Town of Arnprior, we are fortunate to have wonderful waterfront parks and beach and an indoor pool providing countless recreational opportunities for residents and visitors; and
Whereas drowning is a social equity issue that disproportionately affects children and adolescents in rural areas, with many countries around the world reporting drowning as the leading cause of childhood mortality and drowning being among the 10 leading causes of death globally for 5- to 14-year-olds; and

Update: We are happy to announce the Nick Smith Centre Community Pool will now open tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd at 7:00am with Aqua Fitness and swimming lessons back on.”
Due to technical delays with an HVAC project, the Nick Smith Centre Community Pool will not re-open until Thursday, July 4th, 2024. This will delay the start of all programs and drop-in swims. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Town of Arnprior is pleased to announce that the new playground at Legion Park is now open to the public. The new structure features several accessible features including a rubberized play base that supports greater mobility and safety.
Funded in part through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) COVID-19 Resilience Stream, this park project, entitled Growing Outdoor Play, helped fund play structures and accessible enhancements at Legion Park and Caruso Park.
