Welcome to Arnprior!

We are so happy you have decided to be a part of our community! Arnprior has so much to offer residents both young and old. We offer the conveniences of an urban town with the beauty of nature that comes with being Where the Rivers Meet. To help make settling in easy we have compiled some commonly requested information for new residents. If the information you are looking for is not located on this page you may find it elsewhere on this website or feel free to contact Town Hall for assistance Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Getting to know your Town

View Arnprior Discovery Guide online or pick up a copy at many public facilities such as the Nick Smith Center, The Arnprior &  District Museum, The Arnprior Public Library  or Town Hall . This guide has information on the Town, what to do, some annual community events and the walking trails within town. Make sure to browse our Business Directory as there are many great service providers and businesses located conveniently in Town. Also make sure to visit our recreation centre the Nick Smith Centre which offers fantastic facilities and programs! Recreation programs offered by the Town can be found in our bi-annual recreation guide – Arnprior Life. There are always events in Town, please see our Community Calendar for what is happening.

Town Council

Town Council meetings are normally held on the second and fourth Monday each month at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers located in Town Hall. Council meetings are generally open to the public and all agendas and minutes are posted online here.

By-Law Enforcement

Frequently requested By-laws are available online if you cannot find the by-law you are looking for please contact the Clerk’s Office. For information on registering a by-law complaint please click here.

Garbage & Recycling

Garbage pick-up is every Wednesday regardless of what section of Town you live in. There is a limit of 2 bags per week unless you have purchased additional ‘bag tags’ for disposal of extra garbage at the curbside. Bag tags may be purchased at the Town Hall, the Library, or the Nick Smith Center for $3.00. Please click here for a printable PDF for information and a collection schedule.

The Town of Arnprior uses a two tier recycling program. New residents may pick up their free recycling bins at Town Hall  Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Recycling is collected every other week and your pick-up day is determined by which section of Town you live in. Tax information

Rate payers will receive a tax bill twice a year, in February and in August.  Both billings have two installments and penalty/interest is 1.25% per month on any unpaid balance. Please visit our tax bill page for more information and payment options.

Water

Water bills are issued every two months and are due on the last working day of January, March, May, July, September, November. Please visit our water page  for information on reading your water meter, paying your bill and water restrictions that apply from the first day in May to the last day of September.

Building or Renovating
