My Story, My Tattoo  – February 14th – April 25th

Tattoos are living images that reveal important stories. My Story, My Tattoo features 32 photographs and stories of people and their amazing tattoos. The exhibit includes four audio stations (with eight audio interviews), six videos and 30 text panels.

Participants represent every walk of life – everyone from a cancer survivor to teachers and their students, a firefighter and a farmer. The participants range in age from 26 to 89 years and live throughout Wellington County.

All of the individuals were open and honest, and their stories and personalities are represented through this series of thought-provoking and colourful images. Chris Piccinetti, a Guelph photographer and graphic designer for the County of Wellington, photographed these inspiring images.

Calling all senior curlers as we invite you to join us for Senior’s Stick Curling at the Arnprior Curling Club. Similar to traditional curling, stick curling introduces the use of a modified stick to deliver the rock. A great invention for those that love curling but can no longer get down in the hack to deliver the rock. From there the game is played like a regular curling match and there will be 6 ends of curling played during each day . The Arnprior Curling Club and the Town of Arnprior will provide helmets, sticks and shoe grippers for each participant. We’ll even provide volunteer sweepers.

Cost: $10.00/person/date Participants must register in advance at the Nick Smith Centre
