Crossing Guard (Seasonal Part-Time & Rover)

Position Type: Seasonal (2 positions – Part-Time; 1 position – Rover)
Reports to: Deputy Clerk
Hourly Wage: $13.71 (Grade 1, Step 4)
The Town of Arnprior is currently inviting applications for reliable individuals to fill the positions of Seasonal Part-Time and Rover Crossing Guard. Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, the Part-Time Crossing Guard will have set split shifts during daytime hours. The Rover Crossing Guard’s hours of work shall be on an on-call basis to provide coverage as needed. Crossing Guards must be available throughout the school year. The positions will cover school crossings at specified locations in the Town of Arnprior.

Plant Operator, All Levels (OIT – Level 3)

Posting Date: September 21st, 2017
Job Type: Full-Time Unionized (CUPE Local 4960)
Work Location: Water Filtration Plant, Water Pollution Control Centre
Reports to: Waterworks Supervisor
Hourly Wage: $27.38 – $35.59/hr (based on certifications held and as per the Collective Agreement with CUPE)
Weekly Schedule: 35 hrs/week (Monday to Friday, stand-by/on-call required).
The Town of Arnprior is currently inviting applications from candidates to fill a full-time unionized position of Plant Operator. Ideally, the position will be filled by an individual possessing their Level III Certifications, however, any candidates with OIT (or higher) certifications in Water and Wastewater are welcome to apply. Reporting to the Waterworks Supervisor this position will perform a variety of processes, technical, and mechanical work for the operation, maintenance and repair of the Town’s water and wastewater treatment systems and related facilities.

Summer Students

There a number of positions available over the summer months (May to September) for students in various departments/interests including public works, parks, recreation services (Camp Wanago), Town’s Clerk Office, Museum and Library summer activity programs.

Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2017 summer student positions. Please check back in February, 2018 for the available 2018 positions.

Coop Student Placements
